Global Provider Manager Computacenter

I know that all technicians were provided with all the necessary spare parts, equipment, and accessories in the morning. This allows them to start the day right away and focus entirely on their work with the customer.

Optimised processes
LPR handles the entire supply of spare parts and hardware for Computacenter’s service engineers – seamlessly and without interruption along the entire process chain. In this way, LPR contributes directly to SLA compliance and high material availability, which is crucial for Computacenter’s end customers.
The starting point is late collection from the Integration Center in Kerpen at 07:00 p.m. The shipments are handled through the LPR crossdock in Neuss and the 30 regional depots. Access details for the roughly 300 delivery locations (PUDOs – offices, branches, storage sites) are stored in the system and taken into account throughout the process. The engineer’s material is ready at the collection point before 07:00 a.m., documented by POD.
Returns are recorded and scanned at the same time – for full transparency in the return process. An additional process is direct delivery from suppliers: Here, the shipments are sent directly to the engineers without intermediate storage. LPR takes care of consolidation and labeling before the shipments enter the network.
This speeds up parts availability by up to 24 hours – a measurable efficiency gain for Computacenter and its customers.
Measurable results
The success of the collaboration between Computacenter and LPR is reflected in measurable results and consistently high process quality. Stable SLA fulfillment of over 98% stands for reliability throughout the entire service process. Loss and damage rates remain at an exceptionally low level, even with high-quality hardware.
Added to this is flexibility in day-to-day business, which means that even special requirements can be implemented at short notice. This means that Computacenter’s technical assignments start reliably because the required material is ready at the agreed pick-up point and the availability of devices and components is ensured at the start of the day.
Reliability is transparently documented through daily status updates and monthly reports. In regular reviews, both partners examine the process chain, identify possible deviations, and implement targeted measures immediately if necessary – for continuous improvement and long-term stability.
Partnership on equal terms
The setup ensures reliability in day-today business: Engineers start on time because their orders are reliably available in the morning before they start work. Returns are recorded directly upon delivery, and the fast turnaround avoids additional trips.
At the same time, availability for customers increases because returns are entered back into the system more quickly—with the usual transparency thanks to seamless scanning. Additional delivery points or special building access points can be integrated at short notice. Continuous live data creates transparency and enables proactive service management on both sides.
This turns a simple night-express delivery into a stable competitive advantage in daily service business.

This is what the partnership looks like in practice
The collaboration between Computacenter and LPR demonstrates how complex processes can be reliably managed through clear structures and close coordination. From collection in Kerpen in the evening to the final delivery to the PUDO, every step is interlinked. The specific characteristics of the various PUDO locations are firmly anchored in the process.
Before 07:00 a.m., the material is ready for the service engineers, while returns are recorded and posted synchronously. Live data updates the status, and deviations are resolved immediately.
The result: Reliability, transparency, and flexibility in one process. For Computacenter engineers, this means less coordination, guaranteed availability, and a smooth start to the service day.
