Reliable Spare Parts Logistics for Service Engineers

How LPR supports Jungheinrich’s Service Operations across Germany

Jungheinrich relies on LPR’s logistics solutions

Jungheinrich is one of the leading solution providers in intralogistics, material flow, and industrial trucks.

With more than 21,000 employees worldwide, a broad product portfolio, and a strong service organization, Jungheinrich is a key partner for industry, trade, and logistics.

The company combines engineering, digital solutions, service, and sustainability in an integrated approach. In Germany, more than 1,300 service engineers handle on-site assignments – a complex network that requires high availability, reliability, and efficient processes.

From the very beginning of the project, one thing was clear: supplying the engineers in the field is business-critical. It ensures smooth service operations and daily operational readiness.

Deep into the Details

From parts delivery to additional services

Since the start of the collaboration in 2022, LPR has become a central part of Jungheinrich’s engineer supply chain. Every day, spare parts, consumables, and tools are picked up from the central warehouse in Kaltenkirchen (Schleswig- Holstein) and the regional warehouse in Lahr (Baden-Württemberg) and distributed across Germany.

In addition, collections are made directly from suppliers, with goods delivered straight into the engineers’ vehicles without interim storage. This ensures that all required materials are available before 07:00 a.m. – a key factor for efficiency, planning reliability, and service quality in the field.

Beyond this, LPR has integrated several additional processes into the existing
logistics setup: a laundry service with a partner provider, return flows to specialized suppliers for tool calibration, and regional cross-transports enabling fast circulation between locations.

A growing focus is placed on the disposal concept, which currently covers waste oil and, since 2025, is being expanded to
include materials such as filters, operating supplies, and packaging – an important step towards greater sustainability and simplified processes.

Collaboration in Practice

The collaboration between Jungheinrich and LPR shows how a nationwide engineer network can be managed reliably through clear structures and digital processes. From collections in Kaltenkirchen and Lahr to delivery into engineer vehicles before 07:00 a.m., all steps are closely coordinated. Returns are captured and processed at the same time, while live data ensures transparency and enables fast reactions.

For the engineers, this means starting the day with the right spare parts on board and being ready to head out to the customer – a reliable foundation for their work in the field.

With additional services such as laundry, tool logistics, and disposal solutions, LPR becomes a holistic partner within the service process.

The partnership stands for innovation, flexibility, and a strong sense of collaboration – a key factor for success.
